Inline twin rigger .... O' so close

April fools ... it's done and ready to run, not true but we are closer.
Still pluggin away at it, until it's 99% what we want water testing just is not going to happen. Radio gear still lacking final set up, Still need to fabricate turn fin bracketry & fin along with pipe mounts among other stuff :blink:

Have radio box and gear pretty much rigged. Have placed radio stuff in the rear box having throttle rod pass threw a seal within forward boxs interior then immediately into a guide tube so Gas bag does not get worn by rod and vibration on linkage in minimized. Made up two pass threw bulkhead fittings taking fuel to one carb and filling into engine area.
The forward box is air tight except what can pass down alongside throttle rod and tube, this will allow fuel bag to collapse under use but still offer maximum flotation by having compartment 99% water tight.
Other fuel bag go's up front between sponson booms.
* Idea is to have fuel carried forward and back of hulls C/G so hulls balance is maintained and does not change as fuel load gets used











Next trick was cutting a slot into the acrylic radio box lid so you can view a "Volt Watch" .... A thin piece of lexan sealed to lid with silicone, then volt watch attached behind it. Get to have my red cover and see voltage too.

Hi Scott excellent build the rigger and like the oil feed you have fitted,where could i get hold of a on off tap like that fitted to your boat on the oil feed?Do you know of anywhere near me in the United Kingdom i could maybe get one similar.I have searched all over and cannot locate one anywhere.Look forward to seeing the finished boat run so hope it won,t be long.Regards Darren

Spend the day on milling machine ... so many set up changes took near all day.
In the end tho one Beefy bracket worthy of 90 mph 5G turns .. I hope.
Bracket started from a round of 1.25" 7075-T6, Fin 1/8" 6061-T6,
Support back to hull 3/16" SS solid that will get held with a compression collet.

Love the craftsmen ship on your boat, it looks like a world record waiting to happen. your methodology is well thought out and it shows in your project. Can't wait to see this get dialed in. What did you use for the oil resivor canister, was it something you custom fabricated with the oil drain line in the canester?

It looks to me like a camera film canister,hope this helps

Oiler canister on this build is a Diabetes test strip container with a nitro pipe thin wall pressure fitting out the bottom. Have used 35mm film cans as well.
* just be sure container has a vent hole or oil won't gravity flow out :S


Just finishing up some turned down heavy wall 11/16" O.D. boom tubes.
Billet strut clamp washers made up, turn fin strut anchor/collet in place and radio gear all secured ....
