Stroker Cranks and Big Bore Kits was created by Canadian Hot Rod RC Boats
I see lots of the kits out now and hear lots of diff ideas just wondering a few things

How much of a diff is there in ???

- what kind of power gain from just adding the stock 28.5 kit

- adding the kit that's been CNC modded 28.5 - I have heard 6+ hp for the Mod but nothing about just a stock switch

I have several modded Zen's and was wondering if it's worth the change to the stock (unported) 28.5 kits or to wait and get the CNC kits or send them in

I also have a few Sikk cranks I'd like to use (I know the RCMK is better but these I have several new in house) - with the Sikk crank can I use the Zenoah flywheel ??

Thanks

Randy

Tough to quantify not knowing quality of work performed on those mod zens ?

Thanks

Yes the Sikk cranks are marine cranks

I guess I'll try one of each type 28.5 cc kits for myself and find out - the Mod engines I have a 2 from O Neill Brothers with Gizmo Mod Pistons, and 2 from Bonzi I was going to do

I have couple other CC Zens and QD's but would not play with them ... was just thinking of doing the O Neills and or the BZ's

I think I'll do the BZ's into 3 bearing + 28 cc + the Sikk cranks and see what I get

Scott would the porting you have shown in past work the same for the 28 - 29 cc kits

Thanks Again

Isnt the only CY Marine stroker crank a 2mm? I know they have a full circle 1mm crank, but its RC.. so you'd need modded flywheel & adapter.

Dont forget the case has to be machine for clearance for the CY cranks.. unless you grind a bunch off the counterweights..

Mods shared for the G260 still hold there own today .... using the basic ideal applied to the 28.5 top end would work great IMO.
Just watch casting thickness when doing the cutting work, not done any of them myself so really can't tell you what to watch out for

Will
THe cranks are from Sikk 26cc engines - they fit and spin freely in either my Zen or RCMK cases and are same overall length as Zen or RCMK I have

How much clearance do I need for the crank in the crankcase

I thought the Sikk was a 1mm + stroke
I know they have a 2mm too but I didn't think they were in the standard Sikk marine motors

I thought this here is what I have www.davesmotors.com/s.nl/c.885...it.A/id.1296/.f

is there a way to tell the 1mm+ from the 2mm+

Thanks

Stroke as +1 or +2 is etched into side of counterweight .... usually :S

Thats a 28mm crank (stock stroke). The CY Marine cranks are 28mm & 30mm stroke. They have 29mm stroke for the RC engines.

Ive heard of guys not having much luck at all using the 2mm cranks in marine app.. but good results using the full circle 1mm cranks. You can get the modified flywheel & adapter from Bob Finn for them (if hes still makin em).
