could this engine have potential? was created by baskarz
Stripped down an old MTD BL2600 26cc blower the other day (was just taking up space as the Carb was stuffed)
First thing I liked about it is the fact the pull start is on the rear. Unlike all the other weedy motors I have.
Discovered it has 2 piston rings and the bore and piston are in very good condition, no scratches etc..
I was thinking of Modding this one for my mono.
What do you guys think? Does the fact it has 2 rings mean it could be modded to produce more power /rpm reliably?

That will work for sure ... tho i do worry that Mag side main bearing has come out with crank. bearing should stay within case half's with crank sliding out like starter side has. Make sure bearing has NOT spun in case, if it has ... not good.
