PIPE SELECTION was created by Steve Seebold
Hey Guys, I bought a PUM 20cc Zenoah about 6 months ago. Now, I'm looking for a pipe for it. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I'm debating whether to put it in a mono or build a small rigger for it.

You can't go wrong with Zip Kits Super Tune Pipe.

I don't see a pipe in zip kits "exhaust" section for that little Zen 20cc. Did I miss it?
It may be possible nobody makes a pipe for it yet. I don't know.

As the Zipp-kits has 428cc Volume , it will work excelent on a 20cc engine.
As a rule of thumb : Exhaust volume is about 16 > 20 times engine-displacement.

The tuned pipes that I build & have tested thoroughly are no less than 28 times the engine displacement. Some are as large as 32 times. They are all multi chamber designs with external stinger lengths 13.5 times the stinger's ID. Typical stinger ID of .406" with a 5.500" length is used for 26 cc size engines. Internal tuned pipe pressure at WOT will be approximately 120 inches of water & not less than 60 inches of water at low throttle.

Steve
The Zipp pipe works great on my 20EI (from actual experience of running them) not sure about the 'bench racing theories' - but from the lake - it works well.
I did end up at 12.5" instead of Joe's recommended 13.5"
He has them on sale if you enter code "Super" when ordering - not sure how long his sale is

Insane's pro pipe is a very good pipe but if you are on a budget Gizmo V2 steel pipe is a good choice..
