Buy your engine from Ron Buck. His engines run as good as the CC or M+D engines and cost a lot less.

I can't speak for the CC engines, but I have run both M+D and Ron Buck engines and I can't tell the difference.

Buy from someone that you feel you can trust and will offer you good after sales support. Some of the builders are in it for the long run, building great products and the track record usually speaks for itself. You can also consider modifying your own, following the information on here by Scott Schneider. If $$$ is you primary concern, I think this option is the best.

Engine builders:

Ron Buck RonBuck1@aol.com
MnD mddracing.com/
CC Engines www.cc-racingengines.com/

I'm sure there are others, but I've had good experiences with all of the above.
