I really like the looks of the J&G billet engines and there is a 25cc kit on ebay right now at $130bucks/ is there a weight savings on those engines as I,m sure they perform good

That 25 kit is the OLD engine, a 2 port

J&G only made a 2 port design for the older 230pum cases.

A stock 231 or 260 would blow it's doors off !!

I have also heard the rumors that the lifespan of the new J&G engines are short lived. I can tell you from firsthand experience that it just is not true. I have some customers that have been running some of the ones that I have built and modified for over a year and a half now with no problems. I have also received some other J&G engines thru the shop that had been modified by other builders and can tell you this is the reason that they are getting a bad rap. If they are not modified correctly they would be better off left as they come out of the box. I have one in my cracker box that I made about 30 pulls on the dyno with checking different pipes and settings and have raced it at the last few races without even a hickup. If I could just learn to drive my cracker a little better it would win a lot of races.

The J&G top end kit is a good little kit and I think is a great alternative for people who like the billet style engines. I am working on a billet bottom end that should compliment the J&G top end even more. Just need more time in the day. >

I have one of the J&G kits ... it hasn't been run all THAT much but still running well. I did only some slight mods to it, following Carlo's advice. It probably isn't comparable to one the Carlo would build, but it is running stronger than stock and still kicking! You can see and hear it in the video of my XXX Outerlimits mono in Issue 17.

They the (J&G) motors are awesome as long as they are correctly modified is what I heard to. My questions are,Are they lighter? or any smaller? I love the look of the billet motor, but all the motors are cool too, Next I,ve heard the new 27cc sikk motor is very torquey,And are reliable if you goto larger jugbolts change the basegasket and lighten the piston. Or you could machine your zenoah for the full circlecrank!. Which is supposedly making 10% more power on aircooled motors

the latest engine's performs great
no problems at all
the explenation on the two bolded cylinder is easy
wen you make water it will kil the cylinder and not the crank
so the cost of repair is cheaper
by the zen the crank bearings rod and pisten are damaged
so it will be $$$$$$$$

We are the agent for CY (CHUNG YANG) engines in South Africa. (SIKK IN USA).

We sure have found that the CY26 is more powerfull out the box than a stock Zenoah. It seems that Zenoahs have been around forever and not many people know about the power and quality of the CY engines.

It seems many people are concerned about the 2 bolt design, but for the life of it, I have not found anyone ever complain that the head came loose or any failure due to bolts loosening. On the contrary many zenoahs that we have sold have had carbs fall off whilst running as well as engine manifolds!

The nice thing about the CY is that you do not have to modify it to gain race winning power. Any contrary to other writers, the CY is extremely reliable. I believe that an unmodified engine is always more reliable than a modded engine.

OUr race season starts in FEB 2008, and we have a host of new racers using the new CY26 that are waiting to topple the traditional ZENOahists.
