Sikk Piston in a Zenoah? was created by Zippkits
I see that a 34mm Sikk (CY) piston will also fit a Zenoah.
Is there any advantage or disadvantage to using the Sikk in the Zen?
Is it lighter?

For the price, what do you think?

Joe,
The only thing I would be skeptical about is quality issues. Some of the CY stuff I have been using just does not have the quality of the Zenoah stuff.

I understand what you are saying for sure Carlo.
I blew the jug off a 27cc pretty easily.

I am curious as to the weight and finish of this though...

Joe,

In stock fit and finish the CY is a lighter casting.

I have also noticed the CY casting seems to be a bit harder material.
While this translates into better wear characteristics, it also translates into piston being more fragile

In a RACERS world this swap is a BIG No No .... makes engines illegal because of using NON factory parts.

I have been using them there great! There real cheap from Daves Motors come with the wrist pin bearing and c clips plus the ring for the same price as a stock zenoah piston. They also are cut on the side for better flow from the transfer port.I use them as im on a tight budget. It dont show the bearing but comes with it!

Sure do like those C clips...they look like they would be much easier to remove and install than the Zenoah ones...as long as they stay put once installed though! :) Personally I am a hardcore Zenoah believer though...I stick with the Zen parts. Good to have input from someone who has tried it! Price sure is good!

in my experience cy still doesnt have the quality that the zen's do. the pistons are fine in some cases, but sometimes i find myself machining them to fit for better clearance. imo stick with the zen.
