I know a lot of companies that stick with a browser simply because their apps are web driven, and their platform (NT or Win2k) will not handle anything other than one particular version of IE. We deal with several companies that use web based apps that will only work with IE 6, latest IE 7. I have to cap my users at 7 due to that. 8 has gotten better with updates, but in the beginning it was buggy with a lot of sites. I still prefer 7 over 8 to this day. Now, firefox, which I will use at home from time to time, latest and greatest. Just not for my office users! LOL

We are talking abount NZ's biggest company still on IE6. You should see some of the other old stuff we use. Some going back 20 years old now with no support from the original vendor!

IE 6 is a pain, even our customer desktop banking platform that our customers use isn't supposed to run on IE6. Supposed to be IE8. It goes on 6 but does have the occasions hiccup.

What exactly are the dropdown menus appearing under? I've tried to change something...can you tell me if it's still doing it? Please keep in mind that these ads are now the ONLY source of income keeping this website online and alive! We need them! I will do what I can to fix the dropdown issue but can't get rid of the ads to fix the problem!

not doing it now ,, before everytime went to top header and tried to look as soon as I scrolled down the add would block any of the 'magazine' drop down menu so u couldn't pick any of the articles etc

with them spread out now it doesnt do that

I can't seem to get this fixed for old IE versions right now... If you're using newer IE versions, can you confirm if you have "compatibility mode" turned on? This is seen in the "tools" menu in IE8... it should be turned off...please let me know.This feature forces your IE 8 to act as an older version.

Well, after a few hours, I seem to have it worked out on mine now...using IE 8 in regular and in compatibility mode. I did have to clear my browser cache a few times though. I hope it's starts working for you guys too...let me know.
