Thanks! I don't have time to do a wood hull, and was reading about the new RC boatworks boat? And the insane was the other one on the list I read about. I will search for the JMO? Haven't sen it yet? I really want the best stuff out there for the build, motor, gear, ect.!

Fairly certain that JMO means "just my opinion".

And I am absolutely, positively certain that Scott meant no disrespect
whatsoever to the non-hull builders by use of the word "just" - did you
Scott?

WOW! Any thunderboat that can clock 80 plus MPH deserves a second look!
Maybe a third! Just imagine the wind resistance that bad *ss is pushing
through.

Wow!! After searching for JMO I am also saying its just my opinion! Thanks Scott I will learn this stuff soon. At this point I am leaning toward giving the new RC Boatworks a try, just because it's new! Still will do a bit more checking.

If I'm not mistaken, 84 MPH was with a modded Zen 25. Speed with stock 25 was 71 plus, 2 way average.

Don't read between the lines ... "JUST" an assembler is a factual statement and those that run those that come already as a complete hull not requiring being built.
Boaters going this route are doing nothing more than assembling hardware on them.
There is no DIG or Insult intended with it ... just facts of the matter.

Those who "Build" do so from the ground up either from pre-cut kit parts or scratch built.

Neither is right wrong better or worse :woohoo: .....

Quite frankly the hobby is where it is today because of the ability of boaters to get quality boats that they otherwise no not have the skill or time to build them self.

** In Thunderboat ... You are talking OVAL RACING or STRAIGHT AWAY or simply just playing around. Oval racing uses STOCK engines, SAW uses Modified engines.

Under NAMBA, the past 6 lap 1 mile oval record was with an Insane G2, That record fell fall of 2011 to a Blazer Lauterbach. One a prefab hull, other a kit build.

Honestly know nothing of SAW running of Thunder boats :(

Thanks for clarifying, Scott.

I often see a lot of talent, diligence and patience on the part of many
assemblers in our hobby and I wanted to be sure no one took it the wrong
way.

The word "just" has thirteen definitions in my dictionary. The one where
just = only or merely is way down the list but just to be sure and better
safe than sorry. Certainly one of those tricky English words which can be
taken so many ways. Thanks for helping me realize I should always be
cautious using it in print.

Thanks for setting me straight on using a stock engine for oval racing! That's what I would like to get into. Guess I will check out the rules before I get to deep in this. Thanks..
