Prop Help

michaels750 created the topic: Prop Help

Hi,

I've been building from scratch an RC boat and I've finally got to the stage where I can look at buying a Prop.
I soon found out there are ALLOT of different types of props out there.
Just like to find some help on choosing the right prop for my boat.

Thanks,
Michael

That's a nice looking set up, but I see a couple of potential problems:

1. Your rudders appear to be extremely thick on the trailing edge.

2. The leading edge of the rudder is a considerable distance behind the pin putting an excessive load on your steering servo.

Ahh, well I just bought a good looking one off ebay. I was looking for one that had a prop mount etc.

My servo is a 13kg torque ball bearing servo, so I assume that should be enough.

Unfortunately I can't replace any of these parts because of time constrains. So if there is any props out there that would work the best with this set up that would be awesome.
