"The original brake assembly had .0015" total clearance. I will open this to .005" total clearance."

Thats not where the tape will stay is it? Guess I dont understand how this works. If the tape is a balance weight it has to stay in place or you shave its weight off the opposite blade and remove the tape. In the photo seems like the air would just rip it off at start up. Im surprized I thought you had posted earlier in the thread that all the props after inspection were balance and the blades aligned in the same plane.

How does the bolly balance work? I thought that was the device to see if the blades are in the same plane.

You are a skilled man Jim. One of the guys (Donnie) using my engines, uses a stand with a plane prop for the load. After blowing up one prop with a direct drive, he went to a 2:1 reduction ratio drive and actually went with a bigger plane prop for the load and stays well below the props RPM rating. It seems to work well for him, and he can take it to the pond and do some jetting before he throws the boat in the water, but the engine is tested alone, out of the boat.

I have talked with a few plane enthusiast, and one thing they tell me is the higher RPM of our engines would make the "tip speed" break the sound barrier. I guess that can cause some problems, like some kind of cavitation may be (may be weird stresses on the prop?). With your direct drive stand (but with cut down props), have you run into any problems of the such?
