Guys I'm VERY pleased to announce that Carlo Catalanotto of CC Racing Engines has accepted to join the team here at MGB! As many already know, Carlo is one of the pioneers in Gas Model Boat engines... his products have been in the winner's circle countless times and still are. They also hold countless World Records in both IMPBA and NAMBA as well as around the globe. The first gas boat ever to bust the 100mph mark was powered by a CC Racing engine! Some of the fastest boats in the world still have CC under the cowl.

Carlo has always been part of MGB in the background, helping out with article submission, participating in some technical threads on the forum and also helping us get the most out of our engines and boats so that we could test boats here at MGB with the best possible setups. After Scott left MGB for personal reasons, I started bugging Carlo to get on board in a more direct way because I really need a knowledgeable engine guy on this site. Well, I'm happy to announce that he has finally accepted and will be officially part of the team as of today. Carlo will be helping me moderate the site and also will take over as our engine specialist replacing Scott. Carlo brings with him not only a wealth of engine knowledge, but also tons of experience setting up boats, an incredible track record at the races and huge SAW experience!

I hope everyone will give him a warm welcome to MGB!

I truly appreciate the warm welcome. I have always been a big fan of this site and have always thought that it was a wealth of very good information without all the drama of some of the others. I know that Marc goes out of his way to keep this site going for all of us in this crazy hobby, so when he approached me with a request to help out I could not refuse the opportunity to return the favor for all that he does. Unfortunately I don't have a huge amount of spare time to give to the cause, but I will do my best to stay on top of things and help out the best that I can. This hobby is something that I have enjoyed for many years and if you do anything long enough you have no choice but to learn a few things along the way. One of the things I enjoy the most is helping others figure out there problems so that they can get the most out of our this hobby and their equipment.

Again thank you guys for welcoming me with open arms to the MGB team. I am looking forward to getting started and getting a few ideas I have started here.
