Looks like a WAY too complicated design if you ask me. Hopefully they can work with you on getting this to work, or a refund of some sort.

Did you see the MHZ kit...a lot simpler. www.modelgasboats.com/Magazine...HZ_Reverse_Kit/

Maybe you could get the started end of the kit only from MHZ? The complete kit is now $398.00 not including engine.

Looks like you can purchase the starter only from Sonic too...that could be an economical solution to your problem there!

Ive spoken to danny @ sonicracing his reverse starters will not fit the mounts the boat has so it would mean redoing it ...Also just got off the phone to bonzi £13 for a 15 min call wont be using the mobile again to ring the usa!Apparently the part is billet but looks cast to me where it has broken is this normal when billet breaks & They have previousley made a bracket that connects to the cylinder to help stop vibrations making this part fail but ive to wait & see if i get a replacement as the owner is away.. My only other idea is a pully & starter handle & rope & try starting it seagull style has any one tried this if you have a pully could you try it for me ..Ive had enough of it sitting on the side in bits allready its only been 3 days but thats 3 days to long for me ..I dont want a starter with a 12v battery as its more for me to lug around & even more cost

:clapping: Cool got a replacement on its way with a support bracket to cut down the vibrations just had to pay the shipping ..should it fail again i will have to go the other route with pully's a 12 v battery & starter system or may even sell the boat ...
