Underdeck braces are glued down, finished glueing one of the sponsons minus the ride surface sheet. Will glue that on once I seal the inside. ;)

Thanks Doug, More glueing going on this arvo.
I think you mentioned something once about wanting to build a Hydro design built flat like a rigger.
Should look nasty enough with an air prop and motor hanging above the deck.
If it fails as an Airboat I can always set it up with a water prop etc. for some fun. ;)

Having a look at how this bubble canopy will look. ;)
This one is a 15" WWII style.

The only thing that concerns me is... do you have enough floatation in the narrow stern to support the weight of the engine? Other than that...Looks Fantastic!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

It should be ok I think, the tub is actually 6 1/2" wide(Deck is 8" at rear).
I had spoken to 'Chris Selph' who builds and sells the kits for his Hydro Airboat as that was one of my concerns when I started the drawing process.
He agrees it will be fine so we will soon see anyway.
The motor wont mount all the way to the rear, I left plenty of room to move the engine stand to get the balance set up.
The motor and prop will more or less sit in the blank area between the canopy the mounting tabs down the back in a puller config. with room for a tank in the engine stand behind the motor. ;)

Of course if it wont sit there and float, that just means I will have to drive FLAT OUT from launch to landing! :woohoo:

Well the sponsons and tub are now sealed inside.
I also used some 1" cloth tape to reinforce the joins, the transom is double layered to beef it up a bit.

Sponsons and tub are closed up and have some sanding to finish before hitting it with some resin.
I left slight overhangs on the rear of all the ride surfaces as well.
