God grief!

I just found out that the carburetor on my Blata has no primer bubble at all!
Could I just spray a small amount of lighter gas in to the carb and then close the choker, to get it running by first or second pull? Or will that make the whole thing go KABOOM in my face?
(It actually works on my sloppy gardening machinery).

Cheers! :cheer:

Use a squirt of gas/oil blend you run with ... NOT lighter or starting fluids !!

Just for the record here, most of the gas boats we run are equipped with carbs like the WT-257 which have no primer...You just choke until you get gas as the carb then start. I've been using carbs without primers for years without problems. One or the other works well, primer or choke...having both is not required. The primers come in very handy on setups where access to the carb for choking is difficult. I'm sure Scott will agree, one or the other and you should be good to go.

Scott,
sometime things are too funny...
Hours before I found your pics (and i really mean hours and not days...) I visited the guys from MTC. They presented their latest twin engine to me, designed to fit into a 1/5 rc buggy. With the air filter in front of the carbs they need a primer bulb. And their solution looks lots like yours... same idea to the same time on the other side of teh big pond... I will share pics of this engine later, just for your interests...

BTW: Good job! What pipes and headers do you want to use?

Looking great Scott...save some room on the building table, your Warpath rigger is almost ready to go too! I'm just finishing up a few things and working on producing the turnfins...I'm hoping to get it out to you before I leave on vacation in Feb.

Keep up the nice work man!
