Talked with Carmin Blois of NFS hobbies today and will be having a pair of custom head pipes made specific to my drawings which I will send him.

Worked on water routing after a lot of thought on having equal flow on both cylinders, exhaust and crank cases.
Water in between carbs cooling cases first, out below exhaust then threw the exhaust flanges onto the heads.

More done last week ... have a Stand built, Brackets inside for cable oiler bottle,
Tub corners all rounded, Sponsons and tubs inside all sealed up.

I'm really liking this build! Can't wait to see it go!

Looks awesome Scott! Are you going to use 1/4 drive cable or do you have something else in mind?

I'm curious as to drive too? Did u get ur headers from Carmen yet? Figure out a rudder yet?

Word is talking with the European guys that 1/4" drive should be fine so long as prop stays hooked up keeping torque loading on cable consistent.

Have Andre in Germany getting me an MTC rudder assembly. Strut will be a long SS Octura. Carmen stuck right now on getting all his SS header parts sorted so he can slip fit clamp on 7/8" pipes. Seems his header material is metric and coming up @ .015" under size on O.D., so waiting there

Got the stuffing tube and log set today, Cup hooks for tab mounts on Dr.Bucks fuel bags in between booms and in first compartment.
* Will be running 2 bags equally spaced ahead and behind C/G so fuel load full or empty won't effect ride attitude. ... In theory anyways :blink:





Will be using the heavy .029" wall K&S brass for the stuffing tube hopefully keeping cable whip and knot up issues at bay. :S

Fabricated the stuffing tube oiler block and set up the plumbing.
* Oil tank has a nitro pipe thin wall fitting drilled and fitted in the bottom. On/Off fuel valve mid hose and a swivel 90* on block.
Will use "Chainsaw" Bar & Chain oil for lubrication ... thick and sticky fortified with anti-rust additives perfect for a drive cable





Cap has had a notch cut into sealing band by cap hinge so it is no longer air tight and will self drain oil having notch being the vent path.
