Scotty,
Used previously 35mm film cans and get 3-4 race weekends on 2/3's of a fill.
Bleed hole that is drilled threw the actual stuffing tube is only 1/16" which is the actual flow regulator. Using Bar and Chain oil a little go's a long way and you just don't need or want much on cable. Just a minor amount wetting the wire strands is all ya really need ;) The smaller container should still do 2-3 weekend worth of running.

** Just note THINNER the oil used, faster it gets moved down the cable and out threw the strut bearings ... Stay thick and sticky with oil using less IMO works best.

I like the oiler setup! Where do you get the little shut off valves from Scott?

Valves come in a few styles, one being just double barbed # TET4311 others have threaded section for bracket mounting, some have internal filters as well.
MANUFACTURER is Tettra Models.
* Here a link to a site on line showing different parts Tettra makes with some part numbers :woohoo:

Project getting back on tract ... with the help of Andre in Germany building a rudder assembly and some head pipe fabrication we should be moving ahead with the rigging and painting real soon.

Hi Scott

I’ve just read these threads for the first time. What a fantastic project this.

Excellent engineering and ingenuity on display in abundance. Also it is refreshing to see such excellent wood work.

10 out of 10 to you.

How long might it be before we get the pleasure of seeing a movie clip of it in action?

Regards
Craig

I was thinking about adding a self-oilier.The one-way fuel filter pump that HOR has. they say they leak on reg fuel.So I may add a pump& remover the screen. add a diabetics test strip canister.

I have a few of the HOR filters / pump --- not sure why you can;t just plumb the hard plastic bottle direct to your oil in fitting.

If u want 1 of the HOR fuel pieces just send me a pm with your info and I'll send it free - I don't use them so someone might as well
