Thanks for the proposals regarding a name for my boat.

I'm not sure myself, and still consider it, but I think I will name the boat after a hammer.
Amongst the old viking gods from Valhalla was the wargod, Thor. When in a bad mood he often rode in pure rage across the dark skies, and when he threw his hammer, Mjoelner, the thunder and lightning began with great power. Off course Mjoelner allways returned to his mighty hand!
I think this name will fit a mad construction like mine.
BTW: Mjoelner is pronounced with the "oe" as the "i" in "girl".

The sorry leg is 90% ok now and I'm back in my workshop.
So far I have nothing much to present for you, as I still work on getting strakes and profiles totally in line together with the stringers along the side/deck, before I can glue the sides to the hull. Remember that I have no drawings and no CNC to rely on.
The work is going on right now, but will take some time, as I cannot accept less than perfection in building my KAT KILLER.

I promise to update with some pics when the project advances.

In the meantime I have this for you. A piece of worm-eaten timber, that my son found on the beach some 20 years ago (when he was 8 years old). He brought it to me and I have kept it ever since.
I think it's a piece of natures art, and I consider oiling it up and putting on a plate to hang on the wall.
What's your opinion?

Hey Woodie... Glad to see that you're able to start getting around I KNOW you're happy, just don't rush it and reinjure yourself>>> That would be a bummer. That piece of wood looks really cool. I bet that meant alot to your son keeping it for all those years, and I'd bet he'd be tickled pink if you mounted that and put it on display. My opinion... Yes.... definitely mount it!!!!

I'll be able to get back to my life Saturday, because I turned in my notice Monday evening when I got to work... I'm taking some time off so I can do some honey-does and build a little. Hope Obama hasn't got things so screwed up I can find another job in a week or two... :dry:
