Guy's night is over. Was fine. Burgers, french fries, coke and beer plus a couple of noisy action movies. GREAT! :woohoo:

After some considerations I have decided to remove the balsa from the top of the front spants. (It looks like it has been attacked by rats). :(
This "almost good" solutions is not good for my pride!
So here we go. Reparing this will take some days. :S

Cheers! :cheer:

Isuzu.

What's that about a "steady hand"? Those, who know me, calls me "Old Shatterhand"

Anyway here's an update: The top profiles for the clamshell deck is being set up. Takes a LOT of precision. Also I am getting ready for setting up the supporting frame for the canopy. Again precision is needed!
When all of this is done, the lady is ready to get dressed up, but I will send the last pics of her nakedness, before that happens.
So stay online guys!

Cheers! :cheer:

Dont stress it mate!
You got plenty of time! ;)
The end result is what is important, whether its a work of art or just a knock around hull. If your not happy with it when you finish, you never will be.
Thats usually when you run into problems.....
Then you start building again!

Hi Oz.

I'm still at it - with no stress at all.
Right now it's about the supporting frame for the canopy. Should i put some kind of rubberlist in it to make it watertight? And how do I get hold of some simple and fast working screws that in an easy snap can lock the canopy to the supporting frame in the hull?
Any advice about this is VERY welcome!

Cheers! :cheer:

Hi Woodie,
You can purchase an item called cowl locks, some are a push type, some are twist type and some are a stud (the metal type) and o'ring type. Also if you don't mind a bit of weight you can use kitchen type latches some magnetic and some latch. The cowl locks should be able to be purchased at most hobby supplies.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Moofy!

I didn't know the term "cowl locks", but now I'll look it up.

I often thought of using the latch studs like they use through the eyelets of tarps and canvas awnings!

Hi Oz.

I think I'll go for the "twist type". It seems to be the easiest to handle.
Do you agree, or should I make another choice?

Cheers! :cheer:
