Woodie, I started this joust with this Kat, So I'm going to finish this joust with THIS Kat!!!

I call this...Rebirth of the Kat!!! (With some mods of course :evil: )

As you can see in the pics... I've taken most of the deadrise out of the sponsons with the idea that Oz had on his EZ cat design. Chopped down the sponsons so the gap would be tighter in the tunnel to force the boat out of water more on the cushion of air. I know what you're thinking already, won't this make it want to blow over more? Yes and no...(I think). Because of the size...no, Because I'm forcing more air into a smaller space...Yes. I'm also going to go with surface drive units on the back of the sponsons instead of the struts hanging down in the water!!! :woohoo:

Scott, you can chime in if you'd like.... Are the sponson to flat to use the surface drives? Or do you think I should stay with the struts?

Anyway.. That where it stands right now, I had to stop for the night until I can get some more glue tomorrow!!!

If anyone has any suggestions... (as far as this working or not) Please feel free to jump in!!!

Quick question: I dont know if your going to run it on anyways rough water but if you do or you hit a big wave will the reduced "ride height" not cause the hull to possibly submarine instead of skipping over the wave?
