sendec tach question

Does anybody have a fix for a sendec tach that does not like water. My old tach loved the water. lol After the first dunk of the day it does not work till it dries out. Not to helpful when i am testing setups.

I have found those small plastic containers with snap on lids seem to work ok. But you must seal with silicon where the cable (lead) goes through the box.

Thanks for the idea moofy07. Did i just get one that is not sealed good, because my old one was in the water alot and keep on ticking, or was i just lucky with the old one. I think i am going to try and use rtv around the base and the tach lead signal hole first.

you could also use liquid electical tape applied sparingly Harv.

I to have a problem like that with one. It works fine but after couple of run it will not read nothing.But the next weekend i go out same thing all over..
