I am going to run 10oz.quicksilver to 1 gallon for break in. Is this about the rite for a stock Zen?

I wouldn't overdo it on the oil. 10oz is too much for conventional in my opinion...unless you want to take engine apart and clean it after. It will buildup carbon for sure. I mix 8oz max with Quicksilver. I run a few liters through engine (about 1/2 gal) then go! 1 gallon should be plenty.Vary speeds a lot and do short runs, letting engine cool down between runs. Idea is to cycle the engine through several heat cycles. Some engines, I never really took the time to really break in and they still ran fine...I did have problems when not breaking-in properly and doing it with HP2...it didn't like that and was blowing back through ring.

Scott, I also mix white gas with race gas in my quickdraw. I have been mixing VP C12 3/4 and 1/4 white gas with it. I am starting to think about going to the VP 109 unleaded because of the added oxygen content. I still need to change diaphragms about every three months using the C12. Smells better than gas though. Anyone else run C12 or 109?
