"Seasoning an IV Bag ?

Tar18 created the topic: "Seasoning an IV Bag ?

Hi folks
I am going to be "seasoning" a new IV bag soon and wondered if you put the mixed gas in it or just plain gas?

Also would it be fine to "season" the bag in the boat or is best left on the bench?

Spring is slowly getting closer and we can run up here in the great white north.
Regards
Tar :P

I do them in the boat most of the time...I just gas them and go. They are soft for the first 24 hrs or so then get harder. They tend to "transpire" during this period though, so if you want to keep the boat as clean and smell free as possible, do it outside the boat. Use the same gas/oil mixture you normally run. I flush bag out with alcohol first though and let them hang dry upside down first...to get out any residue if they are used bags. Then gas them. :)

Thanks marc,
I am going from tanks to bags very shortly. You have answered the exact question I was going to ask. Thanks again.
