Prop Recommendation

mitchesx created the topic: Prop Recommendation

Can anyone give me some ideas on whether I have a good starting prop for a Wood Whiplash Gen 1? I have a 2716/2 (stock), and I will be running a stock RCMK s254 EVO. Thanks!!

That is Brians recommended prop.
6518/3 is another good one.

If hull splashes a lot of water from the front recovery pad areas while running ?

** let me know, have a cure :P

Thanks, Scott! If I get the splashing from the pads, I'll let you know! Just a little more to do, and I can get 'er wet! :woohoo: ;) ;) I have a 6518/3 on my T-boat - I'll try it too.

Cure is attaching inside edge secondary ride pads of @ 3/4" width and 3/16" thick. *By raising hull 3/16" on the secondaries the recovery pads are taking away from the water surface further so the boats splashing and bow sticking is far less. Hull also run faster due to less wetted surface area.
* Blend in the leading edge up against the pads trailing edge.
Make sure secondaries are straight and true with inside edges of sponsons and VERY flat and sharp cornered.
