Does someone sell or can I make a longer wire for a Zen coil? I need the wire to be around 10 inchs long.

I don't know if there is a good way of doing that really. Unfortunately the wire is not the "screw-in" type into the coil. I have repaired some by pushing them back in and epoxying in place and adding shrink tubing around it. Worked ok, but was just keeping it as a spare. I did test it however and it worked well. I guess you could probably do the same with a longer piece of spark plug wire, just haven't tried it myself.

Here is a link to the article where I repaired one. www.modelgasboats.com/Magazine...Sparkplug_Wire/

Hi
When I worked in a m/cycle shop we use to occasionally move dirtbike coils out of the way of the dirty stuff:)Basically cut the coil wire at the plug cap and then use a 1 or 2 cm self taping screw, screw 1/2 of it into the wire then cut the head off and sharpen the end to a point with a file or whatever. Then screw on the new bit of sparkplug lead spreed a little silicon between the join before you screw it all up tight then slide some fuel hose up over the lead and over the joint. Now for the cap there are some that have a screw thread on them and you want one with no suppression something like this cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-Champion-WC...=item33627ba2f5
(not 100% sure if one in the link is screw type btw)
You should be able to get something close from a local auto shop.
Bare in mind that the spark on our little motors is a lot weaker than say a m/cycle ;)
cheers
