asking opinion of a hull

chai87 created the topic: asking opinion of a hull

hi guys

i am going to looking for a mono hull.i found out that seaducer hull is interesting.while in my state, there is usually short racing course and i think a 42 inch mono should be the best.

how do u guys think about this 42 hull??is it same performance as a 47 do? anyone has this hull and tell me some review of it? thanks alot. ;)

I have no experience with the Seaducer monos to be honest. I've seen several race though, but can't really remember seeing a 42" gas mono racing. Anyway, personally I would go for the 47. I've seen them race and they run good when the setup is right. I tend to think 42" is a little on the short side for our kind of heat race conditions. This is just my opinion...your conditions might be quite different. Hopefully some guys with a little bit of experience with these boats will chime in to help you here.

Have never seen a 42" gas engine driven win a heat race. 47 for gas all the way.

Hello, I have some experience with these boats and as already said, the 47" is a much better choice for heat racing. The 42" can hold its own if set up is spot on but was designed more for SAW. If oval is what you have in mind then go with the 47".

SAW means Straightaway ... straight line racing against the clock.

Oval, well that's racing around the bouys. What most are saying here is that if you're getting the boat to race oval you would most likely be better off with the 47". Otherwise, you can get the 42 and have fun! :)

Very nice running boat, although by sound only I'd prop it up a bit more, however with 5 more like it out there and or a little chop that boat would be struggle because of handling. As a sport setup it is perfect and would provide all the fun you could want! ;) The larger 47 would still be my choice for oval racing.

Hi

I enjoyed watching the vid clip. That seems a very lively boat and I agree a great sports boat.

Cheers

I have raced against the 42 inch SeaDucer and have been unimpressed. They have a tendency to dunk when the water gets a little rough.
