Do you plan on running with any other boats in the water? Will there be full size boats making wakes or waves (other than normal ripples created by wind etc)? If you answered yes to any of these questions no matter how few times these scenarios are possible, you will want to choose a hull that will handle those conditions. Some hulls are better suited to single running, and that seaducer looked quite "happy" (loose) at times to me. A friend of mine has a 46" twincraft (Nitro) converted to gas. Even with a stock zen, its way too loose, it tries to fly 3/4 of the way down the straight, and almost always goes over when there are other boats out there. Heck, he flips it by himself. he's already had to reattach the deck, and you'll always have to worry about hurting the motor when that happens. There are a number of good hulls out there. I've had a Seaducer, and now I have a Hurricane, and I prefer the way the Hurricane drives over the Seaducer any day. I've never had a Seaducer (Nitro or Gas) that didnt lean b/c of torque roll, and they can be very sensitive to input. In any case, if I had to choose between the 42" and 47" I would choose the 47 for a Seaducer.... JMO
