Engine ID

woodw10 created the topic: Engine ID

Newbie, just purchased used "Big Red" Feishen gas powered boat - supposed to be a 26 cc engine (looks the same as in the promo material). There is no identification as to the manufacturer on the castings anywhere. Can anybody identify the manufacturer and the carb? It also appears that there are not any mixture screws. Have other pictures on other side if you need.

Anybody have any experience with this boat/engine?

Based upon posts in this forum, planning on running amsoil at 7 oz. per gallon. Comments?

Engine is a Mariyama (Japan), Carb a Walbro WY or WYK which is the stock carb for that engine. Only adjustable jet is low speed mixture which is under the plastic cap middle of the black barrel linkage connects too. (need jewelers screwdriver)

That engine really will be fine on 4-5 ounces oil per gallon.
