not sure bout the fleshaft coming out the bottom of hull on a mono as they ussually exit the back of the hull unless its a cat in which case the have a teflon or simillar tube thet flexshaft runs in see pic

on mono hulls same thing if strut just shorter or like my Apache stinger i have a brass tube instead of teflon and have sealed with silicon

but as the motor is mounted low to assist with lower COG and flexshaft ressistance i do get some water enter when stopped but when moving the inertia pushes water to stern and auto bailer takes care of it

had a look at the pics and somthing isnt right very unusuall setup for a mono IMO see pics i posted of Apache where exits stern straight into dtrut/stinger . that setup looks like it would create a load of drag and you couldnt trim the prop correctly it should be right on the surface ( for speed that is) i could be wrong and someone out there may have seen a setup like that before

Ive seen a couple mono hulls look like this and they aren't really that fast but they go about 20-30 mph depending on how its all set up in the end. This is a older fiberglass hull and it was made by futaba.

Looking at COLOR of hull under the paint and what else can be seen  ... looks at first glance to be an EPOXY hull likely being a PRATHER.

Because these are SHALLOW V type hulls they are best set up as sub surface piercing as shown.

An out the transom true SURFACE drive will tug the transom around REALLY BADLY from prop walk.

As I have heard "The Man" AKA-Scott and others say before, Grease, grease, grease... will help with water but only some sort of seal around the flex shaft, attached to the transom or internal stuffing tube end would come close to eliminating water backflow while sitting still. A lubing bar, and/or a mini bilge pump are good insurance also... its a wallet depth and fullness factor though...LOL

Best of luck, keep posting I would like to see how it turns out and how fast she actually gets when everything is dialed in???

Hey thanks for the info I was planning on buying a bildge cause i knew that this setup isnt the best for being water tight lol.I have plenty of money for this boat thats not the problem its my experience this is my first boat build and im enjoying it alot and am planning on doing more in the future.
right now this boat has everything it needs but a fail safe and a pump im at the stage where I am going to take everything out of the boat and then im going to gel coat it and put everything back together and ill post alot of pictures and possibly a video of it running
