One should always start out even or 90 degrees. take the boat out see what it's doing ,bring in adjust strut, usually negative to help keep the bow down. If she still blows over WOT then more negative angle on the strut. IF the front is plowing then you went to far.

Hi,Many thanks for the reply. This hydro has a fixed prop angle via what I call a very smart alu bracket that's custom made for the application that's held in place by means 4 screws. There's a square recess that this fits into. It just looks to much positive or should I say it looks like the prop is going to make the hydro flip over very easy. The prop I'm using is a Prather 270?? Any more idea's please...THX

With a hull having a FIXED strut, ALL your AOA ( Angle of attack ) tuning falls on prop selection.
Low lift props will drop the tail having hull bow up running lighter on it's feet and high lift props will pick up the tail settling bow down having it run wetter.
And of course the lift one may need or find in between.

Hi Scott, many thanks for the advice, now I feel more relaxed about what I am going to experience from this boat when I do the maiden this Saterday coming. We are having our local nationals in Cape Town ZA starting the 26th April and entered for two classes, modified cat's and stock V class.Greetings Basie
