Propeller selection?

K+B .91 created the topic: Propeller selection?

Hey guys,
First post, but long time reader.

I have a question regarding the choosing of an ABC prop to suit a Twin Craft Magnum 46" hull running a nitro .67 Picco EXR engine with a high/submerged prop, (less than 1/2" from the keel to the center of the hub). This engine is highly modified and can push props with 3.5"-3.6" of pitch at 22500RPM with ease. I have many modified props, but none seem to get me the MPH I want. I have tried 3 blade props, diameters reduced/barr cuts/backcuts etc and cupped for no lift, but still haven't found a prop that gives me the results I'm after. The hull currently rides at around 65MPH, but I would like to get 70+MPH out of it. I have tried both Octura and Prather props.
I know it's not gas powered, but you guys seem to know a lot more about ABC props than on other forums.

My question is:
Can anyone direct me onto a range of ABC props that would be suitable for modification to get the performance I need?
I am currently looking at 2018-10-50,2118-10-50 or 2216-10-50.
Do you think this is the right area I'm looking at? I do not want any more lift at the transom, this just slows the boat.

Thanks in advance, guys. I look forward to all your generous knowledge on this.

Cheers.
Tony from Downunder.

Raced a 46" twin craft with a OPS .67 years ago and it really did it's best with a Octura X460/3 with tongues cut back & cupped up tips for low lift and flatter thrust cone.

In current ABC offerings no clue ?
Tho in American sizing of equivalent diameter to Octura's X460 in a ABC would be @ 2.3 series.

* In racing Monos over 20+ years stay with PITCH RATIOS of 1.6 or less IMO ;)
Higher PR's will just slip and throw water around without hooking up !!
