V24 or Jersey skiff

So you have 700$ to build a boat you can

A)Buy an Aeromarine jersey skiff hull and hardware combo then buy a zenoah 260gpum.

B)buy an aquacraft V24 one design for 350$ and use remaining 350 for needed upgrades.

If B what upgrades?

If A Why and vice-versa

All responses are appreciated.

A. Much better all-around boat and probably a lot more fun in the end. The V-24 is the Edsel/Vega/Yugo of AquaCraft's line-up. Junk Fuji engine. Hulls known to split apart along the deck line joint for starters.

A is a better deal, although a skiff can be a bit of a handful to drive. There are a number of vee hulls (Aeromarine included)out there that will be better suited for a first boat. Warehouse Hobbies is another place to look..... Do your research and get the best bang for your buck!
