How do you replace the carb in-let fitting on a wt-1048 carb. The black plastic piece broke but the brass piece is still in carb. body.

Grab brass with pliers twist and pull out - new one will have new brass piece on it - I like to drill and tap for 10/32 and use a brass fitting

If u use regular fitting I put drop of red loctite on brass and push in then a blow air from inside thru fittimng to make sure no loctite got in

you can get new fittings from DDM or Gizmo's or CC

can the angle of carb in-let fitting be turned? will it cause any harmful to the in-let fitting?

SOmetimes if you grab with pliers u can turn them slightly - I never try unless I have a spare fitting handy (in case it breaks) and you can also drill / tap for 10/32 pressure fitting

I have rotated dozens with just a good grip with pliers...I guess maybe I've been lucky, but never had an issue with any of them...some I have moved several times in fact! But like Randy says, always be ready with plan B.
