Hello, I am new to the hobby and have some questions. I am building a 1/6 scale model of Miss Supertest III. She is about 1500mm long and a beam of around 600mm. From what I understand the prop should be about 10% of the length behind the transom. My question is where do I find a strut that will accomplish this? I have found a few stringers that are that long, but I do not think the a stinger will work on a flat bottom hydro.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

cheers,
corey

What kind of engine are you going to use in this very famous Canadian hydro driven by Bob Hayward & Jim Thompson? Because your hull is so large, 59.1" long X 23.6" wide, you will probably have to make the under the hull strut that was used on this boat. I'll post some pictures if I can locate them.

I could not get my pictures to upload either.

I have a zenoah g260 pum that I plan on putting in her.

I saw her at the classic boat show in Gravenhurst this year and ran across a little booth where I found Osborn models and purchased a kit from him for the 1/12 scale model and then used that to build the 1/6 scale version.

Another great boat I saw there was Miss Canada IV, I am looking forward to Osborn releasing a kit for her in the near future.

Something is limiting the file size to around 2meg or so...haven't quite put the finger on it yet...still testing... there doesn't seem to be any problems with pic dimensions, just actual file size.

BTW, when adding attachements/pics...if you click on the little button that says INSERT next to the Add File button, that puts your picture inline in the thread...if you do not click INSERT, and just submit the post, it will put your images as attachments...like I have been doing. :) choice it yours...depends on the look you want.
