CAPTCHA will go away after 5 posts...it's to try and filter out spam users if they get through the initial registration filters... this stuff has become a real PITA in the last few years and just keeps getting worse.

No worries...just difficult sometimes to make out some of the letters that are close together...but as you said, I am not longer being prompted to enter the code.

Spam sure is a real pain, another forum I am on, MGE a forum for MGB cars, has been getting hit hard by fake passport spammers

You need to make sure you waterproof that wood. Shaving weight as much as possible will help the performance of the boat. It looks like a really good foundation youve started there.

I removed another 300g of wood, see pic, but that is all I can do without compromising the structural integrity...she now weighs 3.3kg (7.3lbs) without the decking.

I plan on using System Three penetrating epoxy to seal up the wood.

cheers,

Corey,

A large boat such as this could easily gain 1 1/2 to 2 lbs in paint because all he wood surfaces need to be sealed inside & outside. This would include the bottom skins, the underside & topside of the deck skins, all the edges & surfaces of the frames.
