Ok put a new coil on the homelite. Ported the intake to match the heat dam on the Big bore carb. lol ported the exhaust also. Runs great! 2 probs. I don't like the clutch system. it's not a clutch with shoes and springs. it's 2 spring loaded plates. never really want's to release at idle. Also I leak water at the prop shaft hole. there is no liner in it. I assume that's why it leaks??? What would be the fix. Thanks Rob

Not sure when WHH stared to use the "iso pad" to hold the 3/8" stuffing tube. The stuffing tube should be flush with transom, the iso pad is a rubber block held in by silicone. The leak at the transom is no big deal, remove radio box and dad silicone near the transom and the front of the iso pad. Here's an after thought the stuffing tube may have been switched out with a smaller size. There is a long discussion about liners, to each his own on that.

Thank you for all the help. What fuel mix is recommended for the old Zenoah 23cc and homlite 30cc motors. I'm running 40:1 in both. Anyone know about "Camp Fuel" I hear ppl are running that??? Colman fuel for my camp stove? :S

Yes it has the pad. And a small piece of "liner" fell off, when I pulled the shaft out. I'll reseal it like you said. no need for a new liner right? Other wise I have the boat Screaming and running cool. O What angle should I have the steering rudders at? Angle towards the transom seems to work best?

Some info on Coleman or "White Gas" - lots guys use it -- ok except for QuickDraws and speciality engines

I like to start everything off at neutral, running it for bit to see if everything is working then adjust end points and angles. Most guys run "white gas" to get away from the smell of gas in their car/transport vehicle. Use gas that has no or very little additives.

I take the ethanol out of pump gas and add Seafoam, with Stihl synthetic oil. 40:1 with a 1 range hotter plug.
