Nothing wrong with useing a stick radio. It's just what you are used to. I bought a futaba mx pistol last year when I started and switched back to a stick radio 6EX futaba this year. Only because I fly aircraft too and couldn't get used to it. Some guys it does not bother to use both. As far as spectrum a tech guy told. me right f rom horizon not to use. it for water craft it's just not worth it

YES !!! i feel a lot better today ! i took to heart what some of you have been saying and i put in a resistor plug and a different battery pack in it and she worked !!!!!!! HELLS TO THE YEAH !! but the only bummer is i have to spend another 250.00 on a futaba radio ...and the rx it comes with is more than likely not a marine rx... yes i know the boat is worth it, but im a cheap you know what.. lol so now it's time to have some sailor jerry and cokes !!!!!!! thanks guys ....

Futaba doesn't make marine receivers. They don't need to their 3-4 channel radio's work great land or sea.

Get a Futaba Fasst 3PM-X and it will have a R603FF receiver which is what will work flawlessly for you. About $175 all over.

They make a stick transmitter Futaba Fasst 3 channel if that was something your after.

It is the best investment you can make for successful gas boating.

Sweet. Glad to hear that you can run it now. Just don't overspend on gear that has features you'll never need or use. Thanks for sharing your drama's though, helps everyone in the long run.

How would you get a CMR7H 10mm plug to work in place of a CJ8 plug with 14mm thread ?

Busting chops Louie. LMAO. Lol.
