Hello guys

I was looking at some speedmaster hardware and some folks at the lake today and th new skeg strut, there cat's were in the mid 50 - 60 mph range with gps. My question is dosn't the extra fin under the strut give it more drag, and hold the boat in the coners????? ???

I run a skegged strut on my Avenger, runing 67 in heat trim amd 71.2mph in straight line, I cut the skeg off a spare strut. Didn't notice any difference on the GPS, the skeg gives a little lift as well. There isn't muc of the skeg in the water anyway. Corners like a slot car with the skegged strut.
