Shockwave 55 in line

Malikmx created the topic: Shockwave 55 in line

Hi, I´m from Mexico and need help.
I'm using gas engine for almost 2 years, hope that is good enough.
In recent days a friend of me buy a BZ2 Modified BONZÍ I2X Inline Zenoah to put into a Shockwave 55, I'm helping with some issues but still have some question about how to get all the power of this great engine:
- The GC move forward about 2 inches, so looks to me very flat on surface and to slow on water.(67 kmh/ 41 M/h on GPS)
-I'm sure that the 2 piston work at 180 degrees to each other, but sometimes i hear some noise, like the coil goes to ground, could be gas problem?
- the primer bulb from the front carb go out of gas every time that take out of the water.(644) I thinking on cancel the return or use a 257 carb without this return, the gas travel in separated lines from tank to carb.
-we keep using the Prather 270 prop and reach the 15764 RPM.

If someone have any clue, HELP!!!

For one, the carbs need too be adjusted very equal on high and low needles. Then fine tuned on Hi needle by doing spark plug color checks making sure the mixture is the same.

Next, a SINGLE prather 270 prop is WAY TOO SMALL ....a single cylinder would run a 270 by it's self !
Your lack of speed is because of the hulls weight and the props small diameter and slippage.

Bonzi Stage II mods are still pretty conservative but the RPM you are getting does seem about right tho. My guess is the speed your lacking would be greatly increased by playing with some larger more efficient props.

The ABC 3014/2 or 3016/2 would be great choices IMO.

Scott

Today we try a 280 Prather prop and works very grate, but somethink hapen in the inline cople because just the front engine with the pull start are spining, maybe on tuesday i can tell you more about.

Did you know who sales this ABC props, take Amex and can send to Mexico via Fedex or UPS really fast.

Thanks.

Scott.
We check the union an found the collet loose, just need reassemble and alignment of pistons.

Someone give us a Octura X482 prop so lets see how it works this weekend.
