The 3 blade version of the 6717 prop is widely used on cats and hydro and some monos too. I think you would be better with the 3 blade for your cat.

The performance difference between 2 blades and 3 blades is hard to explain, at least for me it is. I find that typically the 3 blades have more lift than the 2 blade. This can be good or bad depending on the hull. There is more to it than that, but it would be better answered by a prop expert.

Not sure if something else would be better or not but I have not found a cat yet that didn't run great with a 6717. I have one on my sons cat with a CY and it is very quick.

thanks guys for all your help ,

i will go and get a 6717-3 prop for my boat as i did notice when it was running good for one or two runs that it was slugins out of hole shot and took most of the lake to get up on the pipe and start getting up to fast speed when it did it tock of real fast but then it runns out of lake..haha... so im gessing the 6717 will let the 2xstrok rev freere and thus letting it get to speed better and on the pipe better .
so do you guys recomend the prop in stainless steel or the other brass stylle ...
or is there a nother one of equel value . or what material is the best...

also ive fond the carby problem seems to be dirt in the mesh in base of carb and neadle and seat sticking. and in the terminator carb neadle and seat compleatly stuck... do you guys run your motors out of fuel at end of the day like large 2stroke motors . or should i just clean it regualy with carb cleaner to stop it gumming up over time.. is castrol 747 2stroke oil good to use. as thats what ive been told to get . ive been using penrite sin two stroke as used in go cart racing motors...

Either material for the prop is fine...SS is more resistant, but the copper is much easier to modify if you want to eventually play with it.

The only problems I have encountered in carburetors with needles and check valves sticking were caused by additives in the fuel used. The Ethanol blends are more and more a problem. Your oil should be fine.
