New guy questions??

Ozpulse created the topic: New guy questions??

Hello all ! I am only relatively new to RC boats, I am currently building a 48inch Wildthing mono I have a McCullock 21.2cc motor that I have made a tuned stainless pipe for. I will be building a 72inch offshore mono once I get the materials for it. I have been building and selling 'Valveless pulse jet engines' for quite a while now and have quite a few different designs to my credit. What I want to do is put one of my engines on a hull for high speed runs and would like to what would be the best design boat for a thrust only situation? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers and Merry Christmas,

Chad..

Awwwww! Your little engine is sooooo cute!

IMO, because pushing a boat by Water thrust and by Air thrust are so different. and because in a prop in water boat the prop plays a HUGE part on boats ride attitude, what you need is a hull design that is Self indexing too ride attitude.

A 4 point outrigger style rigger would be the best platform IMO.

* You will need rather large sponsons tho because getting a rigger up on step with just air push will be one of the biggest challenges.
