waverider offshore stepped deep vee

Hi guys some might know last year i started building my own deep vee hull,i took an old discontinued hull i had ,made some alterations to the design and made it a plug then a mould and heres some pics of the finnished hull. After some more thinking i decided i could make the boat even better by making her more sleaker and lowering the height as shes a very big boat height wise.I removed 2" of height on this design at the back made the hull a tad longer by 1" and reduced the step by 1/4".I designed a new hatch as my old one never really had one.Main reason behind it was i liked the orriginal but could see it had more potential with a few changes to its basic design and seeing as it was discontinued i thought why not.Ive since sold a few, more as a way of funding the hobby than as a buisness. So far ive had good feedback from those who have them, heres a few videos i was sent by one guy who i sent two to.Also a few pics of the larger style and the sleaker version so you can see the changes i made.

Hes still playing with strut or stinger adjusatments props and ballance,as you can see in the last video he tried moving the tank to the backa s he felt he wanted more boat out of the water up front as she was running a tad wet.I told him he needs to ballance her at 30% so hes now removed the tank and ive sent him a bag so he can stick it under the motor so she should ballance right now,hes also dropped his stinger as we both felt it was too high up from the bottom so that should get her running better. He tried an x470/3 and the 6717/3 props and hes running a race tuned sikk 5.5 hp ,looks like it has potential to be quick once he sorts out the trim issues.

Heres one with a hatch ,pure white gelcoat on these apart from windo decals and vinyl stripe to cover the seam which is smooth but rather than paint over i used vinyl.

Thanks Marc yea me too, when i first got my orriginal from the guy who made it the design was untested in fact i think i was the guinea pig so to speak. For reasons i wont go into he didnt keep making them for very long and theres very few of the old design running, nothing to do with the boat itself i might add.Lets just say its hard to keep up with orders sometimes but i tend to only sell boats ive actually finnished as id hate to let anyone down. Its deffinateley not going to make me rich but i enjoy building and if i can put a smile on someones face then i feel it was worth the effort.
