Energizer batteries

IMPBA3548 created the topic: Energizer batteries

I just purchased eight of the Energizer AA nimh 2450 mah batteries and placed them on the charger and to my amazement the took 3084 ma, this is only the first charge so they should hold more with more charging cycles.
The chinese counterparts 2300 mah take about 1750 ma charge. I noticed on the triple a batteries from energizer held over the rated capacity as well. If you need all the capacity you can get, you might want to try these.......

Seen the same thing using my Delta Peak detector charger when in "Auto" mode.
Charger see the cells as Ni Cads and over charges them. ( Cells get pretty warm )
When I use charger manually selecting NiMh cells, it usually charges within @ 100 Mah +/- of rated capacity.
