Scott, Ed Sidders started a thread on set-up for 45" microburst, on JRCBD. If you have the time I would appreciate any suggestions that you might share.

Remove engine and all hardware. Place on ground in front of front wheel of your favorite vehicle, get in , start engine, put it in a forward gear, step on gas and listen for crunch. Back up, repeat.

I had a 45 inch Microburst for the 2004 season, and while it was scarey fast down the straights, the drastyfrappin' thing just wouldn't turn. It would always hook and spin. I moved the engine, raised, lowered and tilted the strut, changed the prop, moved the tank and radio box and everything else I could think of and I still couldn't make it turn. After about 3 races, I gave up and went back to my trusty Insane's.

As with any boat, tuning and setup is key.

Steve, did you check the bottom for any imperfections? I had to do quite a bit of sanding. I have not had a chance to run, but I still might have to do some filling in on some low spots. I hope the boat performs decent. I really like the looks of this hull.
