How we do it down south!!!

My stub shaft extends beyond the end of the strut. If I move the drive dog down the shaft tward the weld then there are not enough threads on the shaft to tighten down the prop.

Pretty sure was saying ANGLE the shaft/strut down a little at prop end.

NOT move the prop down the shaft :silly:

I know what he was trying to say. What I think I might not be saying clearly is that I cant change the angle of the strut because the solid part of the shaft extends past the end of the strut. Lets just say that the solid part of the shaft is three inches long and my strut is only two. So what happens is that only the solid part of the shaft is contained within the strut making it impossible to adjust the strut due to the solid shaft inside the strut. If the shaft was shorter I would be able to make the adjustments because the flexible portion of the shaft would in the location where the "bend" should be. I think these shafts are hardened so cutting and retapping isnt do-able. Any suggestions?

It a case WHERE the stub shaft is running ahead of the stuffing tube/strut connection and within it, you simply bend the stuffing tube slightly so it maintains its alignment with strut but it's angle is a tad more negative.

Really missing whats so hard about this ... We make these type of adjustments all the time :S
