The SILEX can be purchased with a special option fiberglass radio box that fits and covers the rear of the hull aft the 1/2 racing hatch cover. The radio box is incorporated in a fiberglass plate that secures between the two molded in rails bellow the deck. The R-box features molded rails that secure a pre-cut (or blank) .125 ABS servo tray that enables a 1/4 servo to stand up right, so mounting and adjusting the radio system is a breeze, no more side mounted servos that are such a pain to mount and adjust. The complete fiberglass tray and box can be removed as a whole in seconds if necessary for hardware of shaft access, or another can be in place and reconnected in a couple minutes if a radio switch is necessary.

Radio box image.

Its a very nice boat. There are three of them at the lake I go to on the weekends. One with a QD 25 and two with ZEN's. I think the 60 mph numbers on the rtr boats that Enforcer is talking about in there ads is a bit high though. Anyway its a well put together boat. Nice radio box and cowl and good fit and finish on everything else. I'm not a big fan of the Enforcer hardware but I havent been a fan of the hardware since their first boats, but who cares what I think.

I think when you look at their RTR price, it is a killer deal for a race ready mono! For those that want to put on their preferred hardware, you can buy hull only...any way you look at it, killer price and great looking boat from WHH. I was extremely happy to see this one come out! Hoping to get one rigged up this spring. Will try to do a review on one here on Modelgasboats.com
