HELP Seaducer wont go straight!!!

gforce replied the topic: Re:HELP Seaducer wont go straight!!!

Its a Mono. i noticed and fixed some things last night. The strut is offset but the L-brackets that hold the strut to the boat were holding the strut straight. The strut Has a built in 3 degree offset so I wasnt getting the offset because of the brackets. Also i was told that you have to trim the steering wile at speed. I have always trimmed at slow speeds causing the trim to be way off at full speed. I am going to the lake tomorrow I will let y'all know what happens...

Okay first thing what mono is it?

If it is a 47 inch or sprint it does not take the offset strut the strut is straight. also the placement of the rudder is critical.
If the rudder is to close to the strut the propwash will cause the boat to lose trin=m between slow and high speed.

Thanks Dave! Its the 41/42. The boat was rigged by Seaducer over here in FT Lauderdale so I am pretty sure its on the money. Wile looking at the transom we noticed that the strut brackets were bent. They were holding the offset strut straight. I fixed that and now the 3 degree offset is back with the prop right on the centerline of the hull. the rudder is a stock seaducer rudder mounted so that the prop is behind it. In other words the prop is further back then the rudder. Thanks have a great day. GG
