HELP Seaducer wont go straight!!!

gforce created the topic: HELP Seaducer wont go straight!!!

Hey guys, I think I need a bit of help. I have My Seaducer set up pretty good now but there still are some issues. The boat is approaching 70mph but no matter what I do it wont go straight. At full throttle I have the steering wheel turned all the way to the left. That has to be causing all kinds of drag and scrubbing speed like crazy. It seems like if I can get this thing to go straight its going to go 100mph. Any suggestions???

Is this the Seaducer mono? With all boats it all starts with the basics...a good thin and sharp prop to eliminate prop walk. There are a few good prop guys out there...Propworks west (Brent Daily) is actually a member here...makes killer props. www.modelgasboats.com/index.ph...ofile&user=4704 The next thing to try is to offset the strut/drive a little bit to the right if it's still pulling. Some guys offset it to the right then shim the right side to bring the prop back to center. I would try offsetting it about 1/8" - 3/16" and see. The prop is the first and most important thing though. Sometimes bringing the rudder further back will help also as it gives it more leverage, but that will also tend to tighten the boat a bit so test and tune. B)

Thanks Marc. I think I have the prop issue covered. I get my props from bob or brent. The one I was using is a 6717/430 three blade from Bob. Its a beautiful wheel. I am going to try to set back the rudder. The strut is also offset 3-5 degrees from the factory. Thanks for the help...

I that case I would start with rudder further back and then move the strut to the right if required.

When you say strut to the right what do you mean by that? Remove the strut and reinstal it more to the right or just angle it to the right with a shim?

It was mentioned in another thread that it's a mono.
