Hey guys,
I'm a complete freak when it comes to researching my boatbuilds. Currently I've got a 69" MHZ hull I'm building with the single inline twin, gearbox, and dual S6 drives. It is a tried and tested setup because of the hp/rpm/weight ratio.
One thing to consider. The gearbox is 33% geared up and the drives are also geared up.....can't remember the amount though. The geared drives are very scale and have to be run that way. There are a hundred stories all over the net about guys grenading these drives. So many stories I almost bagged the idea. But after talking to a good friend who has a set that has worked flawlessly for years.
So if top speed is your biggest goal stay away from these drives. The internal gears arejust to small for big modifieds. And replacement parts are next to unobtainable.

Also the guy at MHZ says they are re-tooling the casts for the drives and has no idea on a ship date.
Found both mine+gerabox all new on rcuniverse. All were new and saved me quite a few bills. Not trying to discourage you in anyway.....just sharing experience!
Good luck and keep us posted!
Mike
