strut or stinger ?

marc replied the topic: Re:strut or stinger ?

So how do you know how much is 2 degrees when using a stinger??? You have to measure...just the same as you do with a strut! :P I'm just playing devil's advocate here, but the fact remains, it's personal preference...in any case you need a good setup table and some basic measuring instruments to properly set a boat, whether it be with a strut or a drive.

I will give you drive guys this though: adjusting in small increments (in the same direction) IS in fact simpler to do with the drives. :drinks: Nothing else.

I like the cheapass strut and use a "angle finder" on top or bottom of the strut and reference reading to a place on the hull that I use every time...Oh Yea less bolts to fall out too....Once I get it adjusted it ain't goin' nowhere.......A dab of plumber's putty seals the hole in the transom,I just let mine leak in case I develop a leak during a heat...
